If you are interested in becoming a licensed child care provider and want to know if this business is right for you, find out where to begin by calling F.I.N.D Care at (559) 456-8195 to make an appointment for “Steps to Becoming Licensed,” an informative two hour workshop, which will cover the most frequently asked questions potential providers have.
• Discover if Family Child Care is a good job for you;
• What is the need for child care in your community;
• Legal issues, financial issues, and how to address parents in your program.
• The basic requirements are to obtain a Family Child Care License
• How many children you can be licensed to care for
• How the licensing process works

Next Step
After you have gone through our workshop and are ready to take the next step, you will need to attend a mandatory licensing orientation offered through The State Department of Social Services Community Licensing Division.
The orientation is only offered every other month (except December) and you can call at any time to register.
Orientation times are:
English 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Spanish 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Space is limited for both orientations. You must call (559) 456-8195 the first working day of every month to register for this mandatory workshop.
