Central Valley First 5's Sue the State and WIN!!
Posted on 11/29/2011As some of you may recall, First 5 Fresno County along with Madera, Merced and others took a strong stance for our children and sued the State. The hearing was held in Fresno and a Fresno Judge just ruled AB 99, the law that would have taken $1 billion from the California Children’s Trust Fund, is illegal.

Strict New Crib Rules- Effective June 2011
Posted by Ofelia Gonzalez on 04/04/2011Per U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) mandatory crib standards will: (1) stop/ban the manufacture and sale of dangerous, traditional drop-side cribs; (2) make mattress supports stronger; (3) make crib hardware more durable; and (4) make safety testing more rigorous.
